Welcome to Lowton Junior and Infant School, encouraging growth at every stage of your child’s development.
Friday 13th July
Welcome back to Year 4’s Weekly Blog!
In Maths this week, we have been learning about symmetry. The children can now identify lines of symmetry in 2D shapes presented in different orientations and they can also complete a simple symmetrical figure with respect to a specific line of symmetry.
On Monday morning Rev Scott from Lowton St Mary’s came to visit school to see us. This is because Year 4 are learning all about faith in the community. Rev Scott answered questions that the children had put together in a previous R.E lesson and the children made notes. It was very a very interesting and informative half hour and we are very thankful that Rev Scott took time out of his busy timetable to come and see us.
On Wednesday, the children performed their KS2 performance. We were so proud of all the children and the hard work definitely paid off! A performance in the afternoon and evening is a hard task but the children took it in their stride and gave a great show. Well done KS2, you’re all stars!
Have a good weekend everyone!
Love from Miss Myers, Mrs Davies and Y4 x
