Welcome back to our Year Three blog.
We’ve had a wonderful time in our penultimate week in Year Three. We can’t believe how fast the year has flown. We have been looking at the writing we first produced at the beginning of the year. We were overwhelmed at how much progress we have all made, we are feeling really proud of ourselves.
We have been practising a lot for the production and we really enjoyed performing our songs for all the parents, grandparents, brothers and sisters. We have been working very hard learning all the songs and rehearsing intensely, so we were thrilled when it all went so well. We were all looking rather sleepy on Friday after such a busy day.
On Friday afternoon, KS2 all had a lovely treat of sitting in the hall as a key stage and watching a film as a reward for producing such an amazing performance. We found the film very funny indeed. Miss Green found Madagascar 2 very emotional – who’d have thought?
In Art we have been continuing with our Georgia O’keeffe artwork and have been making 3D artwork using tissue paper and glue. We have really enjoyed again getting all mucky with glue and tissue paper and the results are beautiful pieces of artwork.
In our English lessons we have been researching information about Georgia O’keeffe with the intention of using this information to write a biography all about her. Our big write will be next week and I’m really looking forward to reading all about Mrs O’Keeffe.
Next week there are some important days that we need to keep in our diaries:
I hope you have a lovely weekend in preparation for your last week in Year Three!
